The U.S. unlocked HTC One M9 is now updating to Android 7.0 Nougat, the manufacturer announced on Twitter Monday. HTC will continue Nougat updates in early 2017, rolling the software out to top carrier models of the HTC One M9.

The update will hit handsets wirelessly. At this time, HTC has not released update details, such as build numbers and change logs for the HTC One M9. However, users can of course expect Nougat features to come to the smartphone, which is updating from Android 5.0 Lollipop.

HTC also began updating the U.S. unlocked HTC 10 two weeks ago. Carrier models and European unlocked models of the HTC 10 are also still waiting for updates.

HTC’s first smartphone to run Android 7.0 Nougat is the HTC Bolt, a Sprint exclusive smartphone, which supports three-band carrier aggregation.

However, these devices remain slightly behind, as Google began rolling out its official Android 7.1.1 update Monday. The latest Nougat version includes features and but fixes not included in the original Nougat software. It is currently running on the Pixel smartphones (anonymously manufactured by HTC ) and several Nexus devices.

OEMs aren’t expected to begin using Android 7.1.1 Nougat software until they begin releasing new smartphone in early 2017
