Brad Pitt has won the sympathy of many after his split from Angelina Jolie.

Jolie and Pitt did not have an amicable split when the former filed for divorce last year. The exes then threw shade at each other during interviews. Finally, after they settling the feud that lasted for months, the pair decided to reach out to each other and talk again for the best interest of their six children.

Reports have it that Jolie has been making her ex the villain in their separation, but it turns out that Pitt seems to be in a better position than her in the eyes of the public. E! News noted that after their split, Jolie's life seemed less transformed than Pitt, while the "Allied" star went through a major mid-life reinvention. In fact, he started a new hobby, sculpting. On the other hand, Jolie continues to do the same routine and wears the same monochrome outfits and barely-there makeup.

Additionally, during Pitt's interview with GQ, he talked about the sudden transition of being a husband and father to being single, which Jolie missed in her interviews. In fact, the "Changeling" star did not seem to be in touch with other single moms, E! News added.

In addition to this, the publication added that Pitt has won the popularity war against Jolie, especially after he was cleared of any charges for the plane incident involving him and son Maddox following the DCFS and FBI investigation.

Prior to this, many believed that Jolie has been making efforts to make Pitt the bad guy after their split. For instance, she claimed that Pitt wanted to seal the divorce documents because he was "terrified that the public will learn the truth," E! News reported. In addition, a source claimed that Jolie was "making him [Pitt] out to be the villain" in her interview with Vanity Fair in September when the actress implied that the children are healing from him.

"[Our children have been] very brave... in times they needed to be. We're all just healing from the events that led to the filing... They're not healing from the divorce. They're healing from some… from life, from things in life," Jolie told the magazine.

Fortunately, things have gotten better between the exes. Lately, Jolie has been spotted on several outings with their children. On Sunday, the actress graced the Toronto Film Festival red carpet with her children, Maddox, 14, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 9.

Jolie also recrently complimented her son Maddox, who executive produced "First They Killed My Father," which she also directed. "I can never rate my own child, but I couldn't have made it without him and I cannot say that about every producer I've worked with," Jolie said.
