Angelina Jolie recently enjoyed some mother-son bonding with her second eldest child, Pax.

Over the weekend, Jolie, 43, was photographed enjoying lunch with 15-year-old Pax, whom she shares with estranged husband Brad Pitt, at celebrity hotspot Cecconi's in Los Angeles. Daily Mail's photos of the outing showed the "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" star in high spirits, smiling from ear-to-ear as she left the restaurant.

For their lunch date, Jolie showed off her slim frame in an all-black ensemble, which consisted of a black lace-trimmed top with thin straps and a pair of leather pants. The glamorous actress styled her hair up in a chignon, which allowed her to show off the extensive collection of tattoos on her back and arms. Jolie paired the simple but stylish ensemble with a black shawl, matching leather handbag and white sandals.

Pax, meanwhile, dressed comfortably for his outing with his mom, wearing a white t-shirt, gray jeans and black sneakers.

Jolie's five other children with Pitt — Maddox, 17, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10 — noticeably didn't join their mom and brother on their lunch date.

However, last week, Jolie was also spotted out and about in Los Angeles with her youngest child, Vivienne. The mother-daughter duo was photographed leaving a Daiso with drinks at hand, before continuing to stroll around an LA mall.

At the time, Jolie also sported a low-key and chic ensemble, looking stunning in a camel crew-neck sweater, black cigarette pants and a light black coat. Vivienne, on the other hand, looked adorable in a white t-shirt, denim overalls and camouflage sneakers.

Jolie's latest sightings with her children come a few weeks after she and Pitt were declared legally single again. A source told Entertainment Tonight last month that Jolie and Pitt are getting along much better nowadays, especially after settling the custody agreement for their six children.

"To the surprise of many of their closest friends, their communication has improved tremendously and they're both dedicated to co-parenting," the insider explained.

According to the source, Pitt has been seeing his children more often after he and Jolie finally agreed on a custody schedule. "Their kids have a custody schedule and that's made a huge difference for the whole family. The schedule has alleviated any of the planning pressures Brad and Angelina have faced in the past. Now the kids spend time with both their parents and are happy and thriving."
