“Mom” star Anna Faris brought her 4-year-old son, Jack Pratt, to his first red carpet event on Sunday, July 23.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Faris and her son were present at “The Emoji Movie” premiere in Los Angeles. During the red carpet photo op, the young boy posed and raised his fingers to make a peace sign. While speaking with the publication, Faris acknowledged the fact that Jack loves being in the center of attention just like his mom and dad, Chris Pratt. “But it does feel like, ‘Am I doing the right thing as a parent?’” she said.

Faris also said that it’s quite terrifying to bring Jack to such a public event considering his young age. But the young boy took everything in stride and obviously had a lot of fun.

In May, Pratt appeared in the “Ellen Show” (via Vanity Fair) where he revealed that Jack is growing up to be a theater kid. The actor also said that they normally change their voice when reading Jack stories so it becomes more entertaining. “We’re strangely competitive with each other when it comes to entertaining him and getting into the characters. We were reading this book, and I’ll start affecting a little accent for the character, and then she’s like, ‘Oh,’ and she starts gesticulating and laughing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Faris will play the role of Jailbreak in “The Emoji Movie,” and since the film is about the emojis used when texting, the actress was asked which emoji she typically uses when chatting with her husband. “Probably like, the ‘haha’ one which is so, it’s a little innocuous,” she said.

But Faris also admitted that she’s not a natural when it comes to using emojis. “I think, God, I know it’s like this way of communicating that I’m like, slowly coming to being adjusted to,” she said.

“The Emoji Movie” is slated to hit theaters July 28. The animated film will also feature the voices of T.J. Miller as Gene, James Corden as Hi-5, Maya Rudolph as Smiler, Steven Wright as Mel Meh, Jennifer Coolidge as Mary Meh, Patrick Stewart as Poop, Christina Aguilera as Akiko Glitter, Sofia Vergara as Flamenca, Rachael Ray as Spam, Sean Hayes as Devil Steven and Jake T. Austin as Alex.
