Here is another love affair that was recently slammed —the supposed budding relationship of Bradley Cooper and Laura Dern.

Dern exclusively told US Weekly, during the L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade culinary event on Sept. 14 that her relationship with Cooper, who was previously linked to Lady Gaga following the premiere of “A Star Is Born,” was merely platonic.

The “Big Little Lies” star, in fact, described Cooper as the greatest human and that he was her best friend. Describing Cooper as someone who’s spectacular, the 52-year-old actress said that she couldn’t blame people if others get curious about his life. Dern also notably said that everybody would always comment on whatever’s intriguing.

The rumors quickly began when Dern and Cooper were reportedly seen having lunch in New York following the actor’s split from Irina Shayk, ET Canada reported.

Dern just wanted to get the record straight; hence, this confirmation that her relationship with Cooper was merely platonic. “We’re amazing friends… We’re family,” she reportedly stated.

The relationship and/or dating rumor isn’t something that’s new to Cooper. The most recent and rather a very controversial one was his alleged relationship with Lady Gaga. When the rumors widely spread, there were speculations from others that this was the reason Cooper and Shayk called it quits.

Amid the controversies, his “A Star Is Born” co-star dismissed the relationship rumor by posting several pictures and videos of her and Dan Horton, his rumored new flame after her split from ex-fiance Christian Carino. A few weeks ago, Lady Gaga and Horton were, in fact, seen together enjoying a concert, and just last week, the pair shared a photo of their dinner date arranged by Horton, Pinkvilla reported.

While everyone is busy speculating about Cooper’s love life, the actor was having a time of his life at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he reportedly made his surprise appearance to show support to the movie, “Joker,” starred by Joaquin Phoenix. Cooper is one of the producers of the film.

Proud of the actor’s performance and the over-all outcome of the film, Cooper gave Phoenix a warm hug at the TIFF. He was also seen embracing the film’s director, Todd Phillips, who previously directed the movie, “The Hangover” trilogy,” wherein he was one of the lead stars.

Cooper’s recently produced film, which won the Golden Lion Prize at the 76th Venice International Film Festival, was not able to bag the People’s Choice Award at TIFF. However, many are confident that it will snatch a lot of prestigious awards at the 2020 Oscar’s.
