The Apple Loop event confirmed that the AirPods will have an upgrade this year. However, the new AirPods' features consist of mostly of some boosted specs and fixes for its first version’s issues so they won't be an entirely new upgrade to the device. Here’s what we know about the new Apple AirPods 2.

Apple revealed during the company's show that the next update of the AirPods would be an improvement of its power supply capacity even when outside. When it comes to its specs, the 2019 AirPods were confirmed to have an upgraded battery life and faster connectivity to Apple devices.

A new Qi-compatible case for wireless charging has been confirmed for the AirPods as well. So far, the recent Apple AirPods revelations seemed to have answered the battery life problems of these wireless earpieces, though the fixes will come with a hefty price tag.

The new AirPods also have improved charging features as they support wireless charging through its case, which doubles as its powerbank of sorts. Previously, many users had issues with the first AirPods as they had battery life issues. Throughout use, the AirPods would easily lose energy and even its charging case would also lose its charge fast.

With the upgraded 2019 iteration, the AirPods battery life problem would be avoided and would allow its users to enjoy using the device for an extended amount of time.

As for its responsiveness improvement, users of the 2019 AirPods will be able to activate Siri faster with the voice command. Needing the phone to be near your mouth would not be necessary.

Aside from its upgrades, Apple may potentially add some extra features for the 2019 AirPods, such as the “spy phone” technique that was found in the first version of the AirPods.

For now, we’ll have to wait for Apple to provide solid announcement dates for the 2019 AirPods release.

Aside from the AirPods, Apple still has some other devices that fans are eagerly waiting for such as the AirPower charging mat, a new iPad series, and the next flagship iPhone release.
