The AirPods 2 wireless headphones and AirPower charging mat could be released in the first half of 2019, according to an analyst. Moreover, a new iPod touch may also be released along with these two Apple devices. Here’s what we know about this.

According to MacRumors, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the AirPower wireless charging mat and AirPods 2 would be released in just a few months. The AirPower mat allows users to charge their Apple device when they place it on the mat, while the AirPods 2 are expected to have a wireless charging feature and improved Bluetooth connectivity. Meanwhile, the new iPod Touch is expected to be released with these new devices, according to the analyst. As of now, Apple has yet to officially confirm that it plans to unveil any new device in the first half of 2019.

Many fans are still waiting for these three devices to be released soon. The AirPower charging mat was expected to be released two years ago with the iPhone 8 generation and the first iPhone X. However, Apple has yet to unveil the device even after the phones came out.

Meanwhile, the AirPods 2 is expected to have new features such as an electrocardiogram (ECG) and waterproof capabilities, which make the wireless headphones great for users with active lifestyles and want their tunes while near bodies of water.

The 2019 iPod touch, on the other hand, is expected to a have gaming focus and could be Apple’s first dive into the handheld gaming market. So far, Google and Apple has yet to release any gaming devices, whereas other companies, like Asus, have started selling gaming-focused smartphones.

For now, Apple has been tight-lipped about their 2019 device releases. In CES 2019, the company expressed their interest in improving their service apps on all smart device platforms rather than announcing any new devices. The upcoming Apple event this March will also center on services, and no new device has been confirmed to be unveiled during the event.

For now, we’ll have to wait for new Apple announcements to see the progress on these three devices, if there is any.
