The new Apple iOS 13.1 update is now live and can be downloaded into your iPhones and other compatible Apple smart devices. The new update pushes out extra features and fixes to the update’s many bugs. Overall, these new additions improve the experience of using an iPhone.

Dedicated Paired Audio Device Icons

When using the volume slider, the visual for it would also show the icon of the Bluetooth device currently paired with the iPhone. This setting is useful to know immediately know the paired devices on the iPhone especially if there are many Bluetooth pairable devices in the area.

Return of Automation Feature

The Automation feature was one of the features available in the first iOS 13 beta but was removed in the later beta tests. The feature makes a return as a new feature in the iOS13.1. The automation feature allows your device to pre-programmed commands by itself as long as some conditions are met.

ETA Time Apple Map Sharing

With this feature, the user can easily send their Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) details taken from Apple Map to other people. This way, other people can now know how long will they have to wait until they arrive. This feature is mostly useful for planning meeting and other business-related events which are heavily required to be on time.

Books App Reading Goals

The reading app will now have reading goals that can be toggled on or off. This new feature would allow avid ebook readers to have some minor goals to fulfill which could motivate them to read more.

Clear Orange Icon For Apps In Beta

Some features that are still under testing are now marked with an orange dot. This means that the app is still in beta and could be unreliable and susceptible to bugs while using it.

Improvements

Other than new features, upgrades to existing features are also present in the iOS 13.1 update. The AirDrop feature is now available and can be done easily as pointing it to other devices with the Apple U1 chip. So far, the only devices with this chip are the iPhone 11 generation.

Upgrades that boost the iPhone’s battery efficiency and display accuracy are also included in this update.

The new update also provides a way to preserve battery life through its new optimization. Some of the minor problems in using the device are now gone due to the bugfixes introduced in this update. If issues still persist, it’s still possible to contact Apple and ask for quick fix soon. The iOS 13.1 update was originally scheduled near the end of month but was released now to quickly address the many issues found in the update.
