KEY POINTS

  • From 3%, Apple raises its Apple Card's Daily Cash to 6% throughout March for new cardholders.
  • Only selected purchases and services paid in full by eligible users are impacted.
  • This limited-time offer is not the first time the tech giant has provided an increase as in 2019, users also enjoyed this 6% rate.

Only throughout March, Apple is offering a hike to its Apple Card Daily Cash from 3% to 6% for its new card users in the USA.

This limited-time promotion is only open to cardholders who open an account between March 1, 2021, and March 31, 2021. The tech giant says that the new cardholders can save 6% on Apple products whenever they purchase any of their selected products or services in full. These users can even enjoy unlimited Daily Cashback with their every buy.

The current unit of an iPhone 12 Pro Max, before tax, costs $1099. Therefore, when a new user orders this phone this March, one gets $65.94 as Daily Cash. Should a tech-savvy buy the 16-inch 8-Core Processor Macbook Pro (priced at $2,799 before tax), they can receive $167.94 back.

Apple clarifies, however, that specific purchases with the card are ineligible to earn double its usual cashback but will remain to receive the 3% back: monthly financing through Apple Card Monthly Installments, Apple iPhone Payments, iPhone Upgrade Program, and wireless carrier financing plans, Apple Media Services, and AppleCare+ monthly payments.

Applying for the Apple Card is easy. Interested tech enthusiasts can merely take advantage of this promotion by signing up in Apple Store locations, apple.com, Apple Store App, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. The company promises that applicants can even "see if you're approved in as little as a minute with no impact to your credit score.”

This particular increase in 2021 is not the first time Apple has released to entice new cardholders. When holiday shopping was in demand from September to the end of December in 2019, the company offered the same: double its Daily Cash rate. The offer then also allowed holders to earn 3% cashback on several apps and brands: Uber and UberEats, at Walgreens and Duane Reade stores, on the Walgreens app, and walgreens.com, in T-Mobile stores, and at Nike. Users could also enjoy 2% cashback on Apple Pay buys and 1% cashback on all other purchases.
