  • Apple has started shipping iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro units to consumers
  • Both devices feature a 6.1-inch display and are powered by the new A14 Bionic chip
  • The devices look like how they were revealed during the October Apple Event

A slew of tweets reveals that Apple has already started shipping iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro units to those who pre-ordered them, and is also making the devices available on its stores. The tweets have images showing the new devices, including their packaging, and more.

A news editor from CNet, Daniel Van Boom, posted an image of a long queue of people as they waited for the Apple Store in Sydney to open up. It's pretty interesting to note that while consumers are all excited to get their hands on their new Apple handset, they are still following social distancing guidelines while waiting in the queue.

A Japanese Twitter user, Nagisa Ichikawa, shared images of her new iPhone 12 Pro with 256GB of storage. The consumer said, “the mirror-finished silver feel on the side and the matte white color on the back are the best.”

A self-professed app specialist and Apple enthusiast, Henry Tai, shared images of his new iPhone 12 in a Deep Navy silicon case. The new device looks like how it has been described in previous weeks -- with two cameras at the back and comes in a smaller box as compared to the boxes that older iPhone models used to come in.

Another Japanese consumer who goes by the handle @citywadakatsu shared photos of his new iPhone 12 in white color. The device has that old iPhone 4 feel that fans of the older device love -- the flat aluminum edges that look in contrast with a clean white back panel. The new handset, however, definitely has better specs such as a wider display and dual-rear cameras.

The new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are the first two of four models to be released to the public in the iPhone 12 lineup. Both devices feature a 6.1-inch display and are powered by the new A14 Bionic chip. The new handsets also offer top-of-the-line specs and features as compared to older iPhone models.

The new devices are now available for purchase via Apple, with the iPhone 12 starting at $799 (for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon) and the iPhone 12 Pro starting at $999.
