Tech giant Apple (AAPL) announced Tuesday that it will host its much-anticipated product event on April 20 at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, where it is expected to unveil new iPads, AirTags and new iOS features.

The event comes after Apple saw $8.44 billion in iPad sales for its fiscal first quarter, a 41% jump from the same quarter in 2020.

Apple users are expected to see new iPads making an appearance, including a newly updated iPad Pro with an even brighter LED display, as well as a new iPad mini, Bloomberg reported.

Apple has had plenty of other tech items in the works, including AirTags for tracking your devices and new iMac desktops. It hasn't been confirmed whether they will be unveiled at this event.

Bloomberg also announced that it’s possible the event will include a release date of iOS 14.5 that will have new privacy settings and protections.

The 2020 event announced updates to the Apple Watch, unveiled the iPhone 12 and explained that Mac computers would be run with the company’s own M1 processors.

On a somewhat comical note, the iPhone’s voice recognition, Siri, prematurely provided Tuesday's announcement to those eager to know the date of the event.

The Apple website will provide a live stream for the upcoming event.

Shares of Apple on Tuesday closed at $134.43, up $3.19, or 2.43%.
