Just a week after releasing its sixth beta, Apple has released the iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 beta 7 for developers and added more features and innovations for testing purposes.

Apple seeded the seventh update on what reports described as the biggest update to the iOS 14. Since its first beta release, iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 continued to receive updates and improvements to get developers ready before the public launch, MacRumors reported.

On top of the list of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 innovations is the significant feature “Unlock with Apple Watch” that allows owners to unlock their iPhones with their face masks on. The feature allows iPhone holders to access their devices using an unlocked and authenticated Apple Watch.

The update brings in worldwide support for the 5G dual sim on iPhone 12, a feature limited to LTE in the past. When available in an area, users may take advantage of 5G coverage even when both the dual sim cards are active.
