  • Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley are "still together" but are keeping their relationship "very private," a report says

Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley have a "non-traditional" relationship, according to a report.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback turned 38 years old on Dec. 2, and his fiancée, 30, was not by his side during celebrations, People reported. Woodley also did not acknowledge the event on social media, causing some fans to speculate on the status of their relationship.

However, a source close to the "Divergent" star told People that this means nothing and that the couple's relationship is still going strong.

"They have a different, non-traditional relationship," the unnamed insider said. "Shailene and Aaron are still together. It's not odd they don't post about each other on their birthdays in that sense, and are very private about things."

The couple, who met during the pandemic in 2020, has kept their relationship out of the public eye for the most part since they started dating.

Rodgers announced his engagement when he accepted the Most Valuable Player award during the NFL Honors broadcast on CBS in February. He thanked his "fiancée" in his acceptance speech but didn't drop a name at the time.

However, rumors soon surfaced that he proposed to Woodley because she was the last person romantically linked to him.

Woodley confirmed that they are engaged in an interview later that month, showing off her diamond ring and revealing that Rodgers proposed a while ago.

"So it's kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while,'" she said on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

In September, the NFL star talked about being away from the "Big Little Lies" actress, who is based in Los Angeles. For the athlete, his decision to play another season with the Packers "came at a good time" because Woodley is busy with a number of projects, and they can focus on their respective work.

"I think it’s going to be a good thing. I mean, her work was shut down for an entire year [during the coronavirus pandemic], and she’s booked a number of projects," Rodgers told Haute Living. "She enjoys working and her own routine, which I obviously enjoy, too."

Rodgers recently faced criticism after testing positive for COVID-19 as it was revealed that he was unvaccinated despite claiming to be "immunized" back in August.

When reports surfaced that he was allegedly seen out in California during his reported quarantine time, Woodley came to Rodgers' defense, suggesting that the photos circulating online were not him.

"Literally, y'all need to calm the f— down," she posted on her Instagram Story. "This is straight-up HILARIOUS."
