Ariana Grande is busy rehearsing for her Dangerous Woman tour, but she did not forget to pay homage to “Hairspray Live!” — the NBC live musical in which she played Penny Pingleton. The singer-actress took to social media to give a shoutout to the live musical a month after its broadcast.

On Saturday, Grande celebrated the one-month anniversary of “Hairspray Live!” where she got to showcase her musical talent alongside Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth, Dove Cameron and many more. The 23-year-old uploaded a black and white clip of her friends as they watched the musical.

Many of Grande’s followers couldn’t help but also join in in her enthusiasm as they left positive comments about the show and her performance. One wrote: “Ariana, I have the DVD and I’m literally obsessed. I’ve been watching it since it cam out.” Another commented: “ I watched the show and you were perfect in it.”

Grande enjoyed her time with the cast of “Hairspray Live!” In fact, she made new friends on the set and even earned the respect of her co-stars. As previously reported, Grammy-winning singer Jennifer Hudson lauded Grande’s talent and even praised her “lovely” camp and family.

Grande’s “Hairspray Live!” post comes amid her tight schedule of rehearsals for her Dangerous Woman tour that is set to kick off on Feb. 2 in Arizona. She recently gave her fans a sneak peek at the rehearsals by posting a snap of her with the band that’s playing for her show.

Meanwhile, Grande recently revealed that she’s getting her own character for Square Enix’s “Final Fantasy Brave Exvius” mobile game. In a series of posts, the “Side to Side” hitmaker told her millions of followers that her character was inspired by her latex bunny getup from her “Dangerous Woman” music video. She has also revealed that her single “Touch It” has a new arrangement for the mobile game.
