The teaser of the highly anticipated movie, "Avatar: The Way of Water," featuring the lead characters Jake and Neytiri's adopted human child is out.

The one-minute, 38 seconds teaser that starts with a scene of a bunch of sapient humanoids running on the tree was dropped on Twitter Monday. The next scene shows a glimpse of Neytiri, played by actress Zoe Saldaña.

The teaser also exhibits Jake, played by actor Sam Worthington, flying on a massive draconic flying animal known as Toruk in the movie. Further in the teaser, Jake and Neytiri are seen protecting their human child.

"Wherever we go, this family is our fortress," the official Twitter handle of the movie wrote. "Watch the brand-new teaser trailer for #Avatar: The Way of Water. Experience it only in theaters December 16, 2022."

Fans shared their reactions in the comments section.

One of the fans noted that the teaser, which was also shared on YouTube, was not uploaded in 2K and 4K format, considering it is a high-budget movie, "How can such a high-budget movie doesn't have its teaser uploaded in 2k and 4k? Such a Shame."

While a user wrote how the character names were "forgettable" in the movie, another one supported the franchise, "Nothing about it was “forgettable” I remember every detail and I’m 21 now I was 11 when the first one released and the plot was great."

"Being ahead of its time was also true the graphics of the first one was crazy considering it was released in 2009," the user added.

"Avatar: The Way of Water" will hit theaters on Dec. 16. Ahead of its premiere, the original "Avatar" movie with remastered audio and sound will be released globally on Sept. 23.

The first installment of the movie was dropped 13 years ago and since then, fans have been waiting for its sequel.

Jamie Flatters and Kate Winslet will be part of the movie. Sigourney Weaver, who died in the first installment, will play a new character in the upcoming film. Besides "Avatar 2," director James Cameron will also release "Avatar 3," "Avatar 4" and "Avatar 5."
