Colton Underwood ended the latest “The Bachelor” installment by confessing his love for contestant Cassie Randolph only for her to quit the show. While Colton’s decision seemed final on Monday’s episode, ABC is continuing Season 23 with two more installments set to air next week as part of the finale.

Prior to the final episodes, it has been reported that Colton ends the season with Cassie as his winner after dumping fellow finalists Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin. However, the two are not said to be secretly engaged, despite what the show’s trailer has led some fans to believe.

Last November, Reality Steve reported that Cassie and Colton were engaged. In January, he backtracked on his initial statement by telling fans the couple was together but did not have plans to get married. Now, ahead of the show’s finale and “After The Final Rose” reunion, he claims that it doesn’t appear things have changed for “The Bachelor” couple.

“Another question coming up a lot is will there be an engagement on the live ‘After the Final Rose?’ Another tough question to answer since I don’t know much about their relationship right now other than they’re together,” Reality Steve wrote on Tuesday.

“But after seeing everything we’ve seen this season, and knowing Cassie is 24 and going for a graduate degree, it’d surprise me if just 3.5 months after she had a freak out about being engaged, not to mention parents who weren’t completely on board with it all, that all the sudden now everyone has done a 180 and come around on things and that’s where their relationship is at. I just don’t see it.”

“...I really don’t expect them to be getting engaged on the ATFR next week. Just still seems too quick, I don’t care how much time they’ve spent together post-show,” he continued.

While the last Bachelor, Arie Luyendyk Jr., proposed to his runner-up turned winner Lauren Burnham during his post-show finale, Reality Steve said fans shouldn’t expect the same thing to happen this season.

“I got the impression Lauren wanted to be married sooner rather than later and it worked out for her,” he wrote. “I don’t get that impression from Cassie.”
