Clare Crawley has left the building. The unlucky in love reality star was eliminated from “Bachelor in Paradise” during episode 4A Sunday night, but her departure didn’t just mean the end of her stint during Season 2. Clare revealed in her exit interview she was “retiring” from the show.

While making her walk of single shame, Clare told the cameras it was hard not to be “jaded” and “skeptical” about finding love. This was her third time on the ABC “Bachelor” franchise looking for a partner. She first appeared on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season of “The Bachelor,” and returned last summer for the first season of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

“It just hurts because you hit a certain point where it’s just a slap in the face,” Clare said of being unsuccessful in finding love on TV. “This is my retirement from ‘Bachelor in Paradise.’ ”

It’s not that Clare didn’t give love a fair shot in front of the cameras. Despite her rough ending on Juan Pablo’s season, she went on three dates while on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 1. However, the drama got to her by episode 5 and she quit. This year she returned with a new attitude, but more drama in the house got her down. Although she seemed to have sparked a sexy relationship with Jared, her age -- 33 -- ended up being a deal breaker for the 26-year-old alum from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of “The Bachelorette.” Ultimately, Clare was eliminated during episode 4A when she failed to make a romantic connection with any other men in the house.

She took to Instagram late Sunday to thank her fans for their support. “Many thanks to everyone in the ‘Bachelor’ world for giving me the opportunity to take risks and share it with everyone along the way!” she wrote. “I am forever grateful from the bottom of my heart!”

Here's hoping she can find true love in the real world! (Like, real life, not MTV's "Real World" reality show.)
