“The Bachelorette” kicked off its special two-night event on Sunday, June 1 with episode 3. Moving Andi Dorfman and the 16 remaining guys to Santa Barbara, California, the 26-year-old Atlanta beauty continued her journey to find true love.

First One-On-One Date

Nick V., who landed the first impression rose earlier in the season, won the first one-on-one date of the episode. Taking a bike ride through Santa Barbara, the pair ended up at Lizard’s Mouth where they continued their date by hiking to the peak.

While the afternoon wasn’t as exciting for viewers, Andi and Nick V. ended up having a great time. The 33-year-old Software Sales Executive opened up about his past relationships and admitted to developing a crush on the bachelorette. And while Andi was nervous that they wouldn’t share a connection, she ended up gifting him with the rose and sharing a kiss.

Group Date

“Let’s start things off on the right note,” teased the group date card. Brian, Marquel, Cody, Tasos, Brett, Ron, Bradley, Josh, Eric, Andrew, Patrick and Marcus were chosen for the group date, and all were pretty set on doing some karaoke – especially Bradley. Before the guys even arrived at their venue the 32-year-old opera singer was warming up in the limo.

But the contestants were in for a surprise because their date didn’t involve karaoke – instead they met Boyz II Men for singing lessons. Once they finished fan-girling over their middle school music icons, the guys got to work practicing the hit Boyz II Men song, “I’ll Make Love To You.”

Overall they were having a good time with Josh making fun of Bradley’s deep voice, and Eric teasing that Marcus’ voice sounds like “a chicken being strangled. However things got serious when Andi dropped a bomb – the guys would be singing in front of a crowd later that day at a Boyz II Men concert,

Needless to say, everyone was pretty nervous … except of course for Bradley. “I’ve sung for thousands of people before,” he bragged after receiving the news.

Dressed in matching outfits, the guys took the stage and performed “I’ll Make Love To You” without Boyz II Men. And it was just as horrible as you would expect, with Josh and Marcus forgetting lines, and others not able to carry a tune. But all in all, the group had a great time and was ready to celebrate during the group date after party.

However Andi had to take care of some business first. Pulling aside Cody, she told the 28-year-old personal trainer that some of the other guys told her that he has a girlfriend. Immediately flustered by her accusations, Cody told Andi that he’s been single for the past three and a half years.

So, did Andi believe him? Yes … because she was just kidding with him!

Meanwhile Eric opened up about fearing his connection with Andi had faded after their one-on-one date, and Marcus revealed that Andi’s the first girl in a long time that has made him this excited. But it was Josh that won Andi over.

“I want to kiss you everyday and you’re like ‘stay away from me,’” he joked with the bachelorette. However Andi proved to Josh that their feelings were mutual when she pulled him in for a steamy kiss and gifted him with the group date rose.

Josh was ecstatic, but Marcus was less than thrilled. The 25-year-old sports medicine manager told the cameras that Josh may have got the rose, but his connection with Andi is nowhere close to his.

Second One-On-One Date

JJ – the “Pantsapreneur – was the lucky guy to get the second one-on-one date with Andi in episode 3. In a date a little spicier than Nick’s, the duo worked with a team of makeup artists to transform into senior citizens to see what life would be like 50 years from now. Pretending to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, the pair walked through a park, fed some birds and rode scooters. Things got silly when they started doing cartwheels and tossed around a football, but overall they seemed to enjoy each other’s company and could picture a life together down the line.

Later the two cleaned up and had a romantic dinner as the young couple that they truly are, and JJ opened up about his past relationship. The “Pantsaprenur” explained what he was looking for in a partner, and his ideas seemed to match Andi’s because she gifted him with a rose.

The Rose Ceremony

While Andi was out on her one-on-one date with JJ, Ron received a phone call at the house. Pacing and waving off the cameras, Ron finally revealed that a close friend passed away and that he’d be leaving the competition.

“My heart just aches for him,” Andi told the rest of the guys when she found out the news. “I generally care about each and every one of ya’ll. This is real for me.”

With limited time before the rose ceremony, the guys got to work on trying to get some last minute one-on-one time with Andi. Eric tried once again to secure a spot in Andi’s heart, but was thrown off when a bouquet of roses from Nick arrived for the brunette beauty.

Meanwhile JJ revealed to the cameras that he needed to get something off his pants – I mean chest. Speaking with Josh , JJ revealed that Andrew got a hostesses phone number a couple weeks earlier and had bragged about it to the guys in his car.

Since both guys are head over heels for Andi, they decided that the best thing to do would be to approach Andrew to get his side of the story. Asking to speak with him, Josh told him how he felt his actions were disrespectful, and that he wanted to make sure he was here for the right reasons.

However Andrew didn’t bite. “I’m not gonna engage in this,” he told JJ and Josh before walking away.

Andrew told the cameras that he thinks that the guys see him as a threat and wants to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when he rejoined the group thing only got worse.

“I was handed a phone number on the second or third night we were here,” Andrew explained to a large group of the guys. According to his side of the story, everyone saw the exchange go down. But that’s not what JJ experienced … and Nick agreed! While he wasn’t in the same car as JJ and Andrew, Nick told everyone that Andrew bragged about the phone number to another batch of guys when he got up to the bedroom later that evening.

No one confronted Andi about Andrew’s “cheating,” but the 30-year-old social media marketer knows that he has a target on his back and is “ready to throw down.”

With Josh, JJ and Nick all with roses already, Andi gave the first rose of the ceremony to Marcus. After Marcus, Andi gave roses to Brian, Marquel, Tasos, Cody, Patrick, Chris, Eric and Dylan. With only one rose left, Andi gifted the last rose to Andrew, eliminating Brett and Bradley from the competition.
