Two teens were shot to death by unidentified assailants on Tuesday afternoon in Chester, Pennsylvania while two others were injured. Authorities have now identified the two killed victims.

According to ABC affiliate WLNE-TV, police said the two fifteen year-olds, Tayvonne Avery and Edward Harmon died at the scene after they were found with gunshot wounds, while two others were wounded in the shooting.

One of the victims walked to the hospital and is expected to survive after receiving treatment. Another of the victims was transported by the authorities to a nearby hospital but is currently in critical condition.

Authorities revealed that the shooting took place at around 2:30 p.m. while all four of the victims were playing basketball. Local police are still investigating the incidents and no arrests have been made as of writing.

The deaths of the two teens rounded up the total homicides in Chester City this year to 11, NBC affiliate WCAU reported. This is also not the first killing that took the life of a teen in Pennsylvania.

Last month, 15-year-old Devon Pfirsching was found shot to death in an alley between Jefferson Park and Overflow Church in Altoona. Pfirsching was in the area to sell weed.

Pfirsching was with his three friends before the shooting took place but they reportedly stayed in the vehicle while Pfirsching went to negotiate with Owen Scott Southerland. After the shooting, Southerland reportedly informed Persing about the shooting.

Aside from Southerland, who pulled the trigger on Pfirsching, Persing and 15-year-old Damien Green also confessed to their involvement in the homicide, CBS affiliate WTAJ-TV reported. The three teens face multiple charges, including second-degree murder and were charged as adults.

Meanwhile, another shooting earlier this month killed an 18-year-old in Allentown’s Turner Street, the Lehigh County coroner’s office revealed.

Court records revealed that one of the suspects, Jamett A. Rivera, told other people on an SUV that he wanted to rob Elijaah Rodriguez. Rivera said Rodriguez always carried a gun with him.

Local newspaper The Morning Call reported that Rivera’s accomplices, Pedro L. Acevedo-Solano and Nikolas J. Acevedo, said it was Rivera who pulled the trigger and surveillance footage from the area also captured the incident.

Rodriguez was transported to the hospital after Allentown police found him on the alley but he succumbed to his injuries at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest hours later.
