Movie-superhero fans got a peek at the costumes of Ben Affleck's Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” at the Licensing Expo Wednesday as the event kicked off in Las Vegas. In photos revealed by Collider, a Batman figure can be seen wearing a Batsuit that features a cape, face mask, Batman logo on the chest, and a black belt at the waist. Gadot’s Wonder Woman statue can be seen in a blue and red costume featuring a skirt, a bustier, a rope at the waist and a belt across the chest. The belt of the Wonder Woman costume features the logo “W.” Meanwhile, the Superman statue wears the traditional blue costume with red cape sans the red briefs.

Michael Wilkinson designed the costumes of the lead characters of the Zack Snyder-directed film, reportedly updating Superman’s costume with contemporary details.

“We were so thrilled to be able to contribute to the look of Superman in the 21st century. All of the people you see on Krypton are wearing this chainmail-like suit, with the same detailing as the Superman suit. Everyone has their family crests on their chests. The cuff and the boot details are shared through all of the different characters we meet on Krypton. So by the time we see Superman in his suit (without red briefs), we understand why it looks the way it looks,” he said to Esquire.

The Wonder Woman suit was also designed with her backstory in mind. In the comics, Wonder Woman is the warrior princess of the Amazon, gifted with superior powers and extraordinary combat and battle skills. She loves peace and fights for justice and gender equality.

Affleck’s Batsuit is designed from cloth rather than armor-like material, HNGN reported. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” opens March 25, 2016, in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D. The star cast also consists of Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and others.
