Is Ben Affleck ready to take his rekindled romance with Jennifer Lopez to the next level?

The "Justice League" star was photographed browsing engagement rings at Tiffany & Co. in Century City, California, Monday, Page Six reported. He was accompanied by his mom Chris and his 9-year-old son Samuel.

It is not clear if he was looking for a ring for Lopez, but an unnamed source told E! News in July that engagement wasn't in their plans for the near future.

"They have been meshing their lives and families and don't feel the need to get engaged yet or even tie the knot," the insider said of Affleck and the singer. "They have both been there and don't feel it's necessary. They are both very secure within their relationship and Ben worships her."

Affleck and Lopez reignited their romance in late April, just weeks after she and her ex-fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, called off their engagement.

The "Argo" star first proposed to Lopez in November 2002 after meeting and falling in love on the set of their movie "Gigli." He gave her a 6.1-carat pink diamond with white diamond side accent by Harry Winston that reportedly cost $2.5 million.

"It was a very rare and very precious colored diamond that most people were unaware of at the time," an unnamed jewelry insider familiar with the sale told Town & Country in May.

According to the report, the ring Affleck popped the question with was rare. Greg Kwiat, CEO of Kwiat Diamonds, and Fred Leighton said most diamonds in the world are "white in color." Those in pink, blue, red, orange and green are "exceedingly rare." Others like brown, black and yellow are more widely available.

"Certainly Jennifer Lopez’s pink diamond engagement ring from Ben Affleck tends to get credit, deservedly, for sparking interest in colored diamonds," Kwiat said. "But at the high-end of the market, these rare and unique colored diamonds have been recognized as a truly collectible item, and buyers from all over the world have been buying them as they come to market."

But just days before Lopez and Affleck's big day in September 2003, the couple postponed their wedding due to "excessive media attention."

"When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations," they wrote in a joint statement at the time, as per Page Six. "We realized that something was awry."

In January 2004, Lopez and Affleck announced that they decided to call it quits. Despite their split, the pair have remained amicable over the years.

In an interview with Jess Cagle in 2016, Lopez shared that the excessive media attention did affect their relationship. "I think different time, different thing, who knows what could've happened, but there was a genuine love there," she was quoted by Us Weekly as saying.

Meanwhile, in February 2020, Affleck said Lopez deserved an Oscar for her performance in "Hustlers." He also told The New York Times reporter Brooks Barnes that they still keep in touch.

"She should have been nominated. She's the real thing," Affleck said. "I keep in touch periodically with her and have a lot of respect for her. How awesome is it that she had her biggest hit movie at 50? That's f--king baller."
