Ben Affleck-Jennifer Garner Divorce Saga: Did Affleck Pay $12,000 For Nanny's Stay At Bel-Air Hotel?

Ben Affleck may have paid over $12,000 to house Christine Ouzounian, a nanny hired by the actor and his former wife Jennifer Garner, at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles between July 29 and Aug. 4, People magazine reported, citing sources.

Ouzounian was reportedly staying at the hotel to escape ongoing rumors about her and Affleck. The "Gone Girl" actor and Garner announced their divorce in June amid allegations that Affleck cheated on her during their 10-year-long relationship, possibly with Ouzounian. The actor has denied the accusations.

A source told People magazine that Affleck, who has himself used the Bel-Air Hotel as an escape several times, is "taking care of Christine's expenses." A friend of Ouzounian's also told People that she and Affleck were "in touch every day, all day long. He got them phones just for each other."

However, these claims were denied by another source who said Affleck "did not cover the Bel-Air bill. You would not find his card there, plain and simple."

Ouzounian also reportedly treated her friends to food and drinks at the hotel racking up a bill of $1,200 for the week. Ouzounian, who has taken care of Affleck and Garner's children -- Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, -- also took two visits to the spa at the hotel for a 60-minute treatment each, costing $500.

A witness told People magazine last month: "Christine is enjoying her hotel stay," adding: "She acts like she is on vacation. She has been spotted by the pool several times, the spa and Wolfgang Puck's restaurant. She seems relaxed and happy. She hangs out with girlfriends, reads magazines and is on her phone a lot."

Rumors about the affair are suspected to have been the reason behind the Garner-Affleck split. Ouzounian, who does not work for Garner and Affleck anymore, had reportedly told her friends that she slept with Affleck at the Bel-Air this spring.

A report last week by People magazine cited a friend close to Ouzounian as saying: "For Christine, it was a real relationship. They had even talked about plans for celebrating his upcoming [Aug. 15] birthday."

Despite announcing the divorce, Garner and Affleck have been seen wearing their wedding bands, starting speculation of a reunion. On Saturday, Affleck and Garner were seen wearing the ring during a movie outing with their children, leaving people to speculate if they were reuniting.
