Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are giving their relationship another try. In an interview with Esquire, Stiller revealed he and Taylor have rekindled their romance after separating in 2017.

The "Little Fockers" actor said things took a major turn when he decided it would be best for him to move back in with Taylor and their children during the lockdown. He noted that they agreed to do it as that was the only way he could see and spend time with the kids during the pandemic.

"Then, over the course of time, it evolved," he said. "We were separated and got back together and we're happy about that. It's been really wonderful for all of us. Unexpected, and one of the things that came out of the pandemic."

Stiller noted that his interests have changed and he now appreciates his wife more than ever.

"A few years ago, I realized I don't like horseback riding. If there's an opportunity to go horseback riding, I'm probably not going to do it. Now, I like horses! I think they're beautiful, I like petting them, I like watching people ride horses, I like watching my kids ride horses," he explained.

"I just don't really love riding horses. And once you know that, it just saves a lot of energy. So yeah, I think we have a respect for the ways that we're similar and the ways we're different. And I think accepting that, you can really appreciate someone more because you're not trying to get them to change for you," he continued.

Stiller and the "Brady Bunch" alum initially met on the set of "Heat Vision and Jack" in 1999. They tied the knot the next year. They share two children – Ella Olivia, 19, and Quinlin Dempsey, 16. The couple released a joint statement in 2017 announcing their separation, saying their priority would continue to be raising their children as devoted parents.

Despite their split, Taylor revealed in an interview with US Magazine in October 2018 that she and her estranged husband have stayed close as co-parents to their children.

"We're a big family," she said at the time. "We're together all the time. It's wonderful, it's wonderful."
