An entire season of “Big Brother” just wrapped up, and Paul Abrahamian once again fell short of bringing home the $500,000 grand prize.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the first runner-up opened up about his strategy and shared his thoughts regarding the members of the jury who were unimpressed with his game strategies.

“The jury was pissed. I did what I did and had to face 16 people and I was the only vet. I don’t know what they expected me to do other than swindle my way to the top. I don’t know why they couldn’t see the strategy, and I thought Josh was the perfect person to be up against because there wasn’t much strategy to his gameplay,” he said.

On Wednesday night, Josh won by a vote of five to four. Cody Nickson, Elena Davies and Mark Jansen, the three people he fought with in the house, still voted for him. Alex Ow and Jason Dent also voted for Josh instead of Paul despite having an alliance with him.

Before casting her vote, Alex told both Paul and Josh that she will be voting for the person who stabbed her in the front instead of the back. This showed the Alex took Paul’s decision to evict her very personally. After all, they were so invested in their “friendship” that Alex thought it will be the two of them in the final two.

Meanwhile, Paul was dubbed as a villain in Season 19. In the interview, Paul said that he was far from being the bad guy. “I wasn’t the villain. I just came back to play a game. I don’t know what you guys expected me to do. Did you want me to come back as the only vet and just hold hands with everybody? In order to beat them, I had to beat them,” he said.

“Big Brother” host Julie Chen spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the events that took place in the finale. She said that Paul was “robbed” of the title and the $500,000. “Paul was robbed. But Josh was no slouch. He won competitions, had a conscience and didn’t mislead people in the same slick way Paul did,” she said.

“Big Brother” Season 19 wrapped up on Wednesday with a two-hour finale on CBS.
