Billie Eilish is undoubtedly one of the shining names in the music industry at present. The way she has introduced herself to the world of music is something that every budding artist dreams of and she is in no mood to stop. The musician is all set to add one more feather in her cap by becoming the youngest artist to record a song for a James Bond movie.

According to CNN, the 18-year-old singer will be recording the theme song for the upcoming movie “No Time To Die” along with her brother Finneas, who will co-write the track with the “Bad Guy” hitmaker.

In a statement obtained by the media outlet, Eilish noted that she is really excited to be part of the Bond world and admitted that it is an “honor” for her to be part of the “coolest film franchise ever to exist.” She also shared that it is a dream come true for her and her brother to write a theme song for such an iconic franchise.

“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we have been dreaming about doing our entire lives. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007,” Eilish said.

The news of Eilish writing the theme song was first confirmed on the official Twitter handle of James Bond. However, the title of the song and other details have not been confirmed yet.

The theme song for the last movie “Spectre” was sung by Sam Smith. Titled “Writing’s On The Wall,” the song received mixed reviewed but went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 88th Academy Awards. It was the second song to receive the prestigious trophy after Adele’s gigantic hit “Skyfall” in 2012.

The previous musicians to sing Bond theme songs include the likes of Shirley Bassey (“Diamonds Are Forever”), Paul McCartney (“Live And Let Die”), Tina Turner (“GoldenEye”), Madonna (“Die Another Day”), Chris Cornell (“Casino Royale”) and Alicia Keys (“Quantum Of Solace”)
