Dwyane Johnson has revealed that the highly anticipated superhero movie "Black Adam" was his dream, while adding, "The hierarchy of power in the DC universe is about to change."

Johnson was attending CinemaCon 2022 held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas when he opened up about his first superhero movie.

"I feel like we’re finding our rhythm and our groove back," Johnson said about returning to cinemas following the pandemic closure of theaters. He further spoke about the "Black Adam" development process, noting it was his "dream."

"This truly is a dream of mine," the actor said. "As I said before, in my fake Hawaii, Black Adam is one of those things that gets me out of bed. We are positioned nicely to create something different."

The 49-year-old actor further explained how the "Black Adam" team was going to do their best from a "marketing standpoint" to ensure the world was "going to be ready" to watch this movie.

The actor revealed there was going to be a lot of yelling in the movie, and that he wanted to use his fans' voices in the background. Hence, the crew members took to the stage with mics and fans yelled to record their voices.

"In the movie, we need a lot of sounds, there’s a lot of people yelling. We want to capture that here tonight," he said. "F--k it, we’re in Vegas — let’s do it again."

A fan shared a clip on Twitter of Johnson walking into the conference room before heading to the stage.

During the event, the "Black Adam" trailer was released. Writer Erik Davis, who attended the event in person, shared his experience watching the trailer.

"DAAAMMNN! The first #BlackAdam trailer is dark, dangerous & badass," Davis wrote. "Ends with Black Adam catching a rocket with his bare hand & watching it explode around him.

@TheRock says there’s black & white, but this film operates more in the gray."

"Black Adam" was previously slated for release on July 29, but now, the date has been pushed back to Oct. 21 this year. The movie is helmed by director Jaume Collet-Serra and it will also star Noah Centineo, Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi and Quintessa Swindell.
