Blackpink’s Jennie, BTS’ V Rumored To Be Dating; Fans Slam HYBE On Twitter

Blackpink’s Jennie Kim and BTS’ Kim Taehyung also known as V, are rumored to be dating after a supposed photo of the two idols inside a car surfaced online.

The photo, which has been retweeted by fans several times, shows two individuals who look like V and Jennie inside a car. The photo seems to be a stolen shot and has been making the rounds in online communities in South Korea.

Loyal fans of the two K-pop idols voiced their anger on Twitter and slammed Big Hit Music (also known as HYBE) for supposedly spreading the rumor as a cover up for a bullying issue hounding a member of the music studio’s new girl group.

Bit Hit Music, on May 20, announced the hiatus of Kim Garam, a member of its new girl group, LE SSERAFIM, after she was accused of bullying her classmates during middle school.

“They thought that by using two of the most prominent artists in Korea and internationally as the cover, the public would divert their attention from "GARAM BULLY". But as I make you understand Hybe, you yourself dug your own grave. LEAVE TAEHYUNG ALONE LEAVE JENNIE ALONE ,” a fan tweeted.

Another wrote, “OMG leave Taehyung and leave Jennie alone this edited picture!”

A third supporter hailed the unity of the two fandoms for the first time and said, “For the first time Armys and Blinks are on the same side. LEAVE BOTH OF THEM ALONE WTF!! LEAVE TAEHYUNG ALONE LEAVE JENNIE ALONE WE LOVE YOU TAEHYUNG, WE LOVE YOU JENNIE .”

Korea’s celebrity news website, Dispatch, previously broke the news that Jennie and Bigbang’s G-Dragon have been in a relationship since 2020. But on Monday, a post in an online community said the two K-pop idols have already parted ways after the Bigbang rapper’s private Instagram account unfollowed Jennie’s Instagram account.

As if on cue, rumors linking her to V suddenly came up. Meanwhile, another fan tried to debunk the photo’s authenticity by posting a similar photo of V driving the car but with J-Hope sitting on the passenger seat instead of Jennie.

“My moots don’t be fooled by this ship edit- it’s V and Jhope,” the fan said.
