Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani wrote a country song together before it was announced that they were officially a couple, according to People magazine. Not far behind is Shelton’s ex Miranda Lambert, who penned an emotional message after the 2015 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards.

Shelton and Stefani, who began dating after divorcing their spouses Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, respectively, worked on the song soon after the new season of “The Voice” started.

"It's amazing how good she [Stefani] sounds on a pretty country song," a source told People magazine. The insider further told the magazine that the song has yet to be cut and is about telling a lover to leave the relationship if they is what they actually want.

Meanwhile, Lambert took to Facebook to share her thoughts. She received the award for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2015 CMA Awards Wednesday.

"'Horse Power'..... I'm still floating around on a cloud from last night. Thank you so much @cma for celebrating country music in a big way and for letting me be part of it. Today was a day spent reflecting on this amazing life that Nashville and country music fans have given me. And my friends. I'm so grateful #inspired #gypsyvanner #nomakeuptillnextweek #musicismedicine #chrisstapleton #unicorn #ponyportrait," Lambert wrote.

Shelton’s representative confirmed that the "Sangria" singer was dating Stefani. The two were spotted Wednesday holding hands during their outing Nashville, Tennessee, ET Online reported.
