Bobby Brown made his first public appearance since his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was hospitalized in January. The “My Prerogative” singer performed at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles.

Bobbi Kristina, 22, was hospitalized on Jan. 31 after she was found unconscious in a bathtub. The daughter of the late Whitney Houston has been in a medically-induced coma to help her injuries heal and is on life support. The family allegedly has no plans to remove Bobbi Kristina from life support.

This was the first time Bobby, 46, left his daughter’s side since she entered the hospital, according to TMZ. Bobby has canceled his other professional engagements in the last two months, but it seems he couldn’t get out of this particular contract. He is reportedly facing the same problem with his canceled Australian tour.

While onstage, Bobby didn’t directly refer to Bobbi Kristina, but he did mention that he was going through a difficult situation. “I wanna thank all of y'all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family,” he said, according to People. "Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don't know what the hell I'm going through right now, but I'm giving it to God."

After the show, Bobby told reporters that he was headed straight back to his daughter. When TMZ asked when he was planning to head back to Atlanta, where Bobbi Kristina is hospitalized, the Boston native said, “Right now.”
