They married just a few months ago to try and help her win custody of her son, Will, and still seemed happy. However, as Katie prepares a romantic surprise for their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, she will instead be blindsided by Thorne’s decision regarding their future on the Wednesday, Feb. 13 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Katie (Heather Tom) is looking forward to her first Valentine’s Day as Thorne’s (Ingo Rademacher) wife and is hopeful that it will be a special celebration for them on the CBS soap. However, after witnessing her and Bill (Don Diamont) interacting as they co-parented Will (Finnegan George) made Thorne begin to wonder about their relationship and remember the life he once had with his since departed wife, Darla, and daughter, Aly.

Now, he may inform Katie that he thinks what they have is wonderful—but not what either of them really needs.

“As Katie plans a romantic Valentines’ Day, Thorne takes her completely off-guard with an admission about their marriage,” spoilers reveal.

If Thorne thinks what Katie and Will need is to be with Bill, he may do whatever it takes to try and force the trio back together for good, which could be how he blindsides her. In addition, he could try to insist that the marriage was only to help her with the custody case—which will wound her horribly.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
