  • Errol Spence Jr. tells Kell Brook to back off
  • Brook wants to regain IBF title
  • Brook is set to return on Saturday

Errol Spence Jr. has grown tired of Kell Brook’s antics that he now orders the former IBF Welterweight Champion to leave him alone.

Brook, who is scheduled to return from a 14-month hiatus on Feb. 8, has repeatedly called out Spence Jr. to challenge the American champ's unified welterweight title. This did not sit well with “The Truth” as he appeared to shut down any chance of a rematch with the British fighter.

In his official Twitter account, Spence Jr. wrote, “(Brook), yooo leave me tf alone dude.”

The two fighters first met May 2017 in England where Spence Jr. pulled off an 11th-round knockout win to nab Brook’s IBF Welterweight belt. And as he won in resounding fashion, it could be noticed that Spence Jr. was already done and over with Brook.

Most analysts likewise don’t not see any logical reason as to why Brook keeps on calling out Spence Jr. for a version two of their bout.

Charles Brun of Boxing News 24 wrote, “Brook had his chance to beat Spence in 2017, but he quit on one knee in the 11th round in Sheffield.”

“It would help Brook if he actually captured a world title BEFORE calling out Spence instead of doing it the other way around. The way that Brook is doing it now, he seems desperate, needy and looking for a cash out in the same way he’s perceived to be doing with him attempts at getting a fight against Amir Khan ,” he added.

Errol Spence Jr. could be considering the business aspect of the potential rematch as well. Per Brun, he “gains nothing from fighting Brook,” as the 33-year-old is “not a marketable fighter in the United States.”

Spence Jr. keeps an unblemished professional record of 26-0 with 22 wins coming by way of knockout. He last fought in September 2019 when he defended his IBF and seized the WBC welterweight title via split decision over Shawn Porter at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Brook, meanwhile, will be up against Mark DeLuca on the weekend in a fight set at 154.
