  • Tyson Fury scoffs at cheating insinuations suggested by Deontay Wilder
  • Fury knows how to play mind games and advises Wilder to try something else
  • Local promoter feels Fury will win over Wilder anew in the third clash

Tyson Fury, the WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion, knows that challengers will do anything to get into his mind.

The only problem is that the “Gypsy King” is already notorious for doing that. Hence, the cheating allegations of Deontay Wilder may not matter.

In the eyes of Fury, the cheating claims of Wilder have made “The Bronze Bomber” a bit delusional.

The 33-year-old could care less as he prepares to defend his belts against Wilder at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 9.

Fury believes that Wilder is playing mind games on him and advised the 35-year-old to find some other ways to sell the fight.

“With Wilder, in my opinion, he’s come out with all this stuff saying I’ve cheated. Whether he believes it or not is another thing, but he has to try and sell the fight somehow,” Fury said to The MMA Hour.

Regardless of what Wilder is up to, Fury has one thing in mind–that is to hand the American a good beating even if he does it by what his fierce rival brands as “cheating.”

“I’m going to cheat again because I’m going to smash his face in. According to him, that’s cheating because he’s not supposed to lose. Unfortunately, I’m going to cheat again. I’m going to kick his ass,” Fury said.

One person who feels that Fury will come out the winner anew in the Fury vs. Wilder fight is Danbury-based boxing promoter, AJ Galante when he appeared on the Sports For All PH podcast hosted by Vincent Juico and Brian Yalung last Saturday, October 2.

“I like both fighters. It’s one of those things where Deontay Wilder is the American fighter. So it's kinda you like want the American to win. But I love the UK, I love their fans. I love Tyson Fury, he is a great boxer. That’s a tough one. My gut tells me that Tyson Fury is gonna win. But I would be happy whoever wins coz I like both fighters,” Galante stated.

With regards to Fury’s antics and clowning around, Galante believes that the British pugilist knows what he is doing and that it is being done to get under his opponent’s skin.

“He’s funny. I think he is one of these guys where I think he knows what he is doing. I think a lot about his antics, his joking around, and stuff. I think it’s to get under your skin. And I think he does a good job of getting in the head of his opponent. And in boxing, you know, that is very important,” the promoter explained.

“Usually people think whoever is the meanest or the baddest who is going to win. But usually, it is the guy who is very calm and in control. Those are the guys who usually have the advantage. When he gets into the ring, Tyson Fury, you can see he is very much in control. I think he knows what he is doing, that’s for sure,” Galante added.
