Brad Pitt did not shy away from what he’s been through over the past years. In fact, the “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” actor was, most of the time, open to his struggles and the adversities he faced, but why would he feel awkward standing right next to momma Pitt?

Let’s not jump into any conclusions yet because here’s what actually happened.

Pitt won the Best Supporting Actor at the recently held Golden Globes Awards for his performance in the movie “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood,” CNN reported. During his acceptance speech —wherein a couple of insert-humor-here-lines are expected— he shared how grateful he was to his parents, who were at that time at home.

Pitt, however, said he wanted to bring his mom at the awards, but he was a bit apprehensive considering that any woman who stood next to him would be later on rumored as someone he’s dating. Considering that, Pitt teased how awkward would that be —his mom standing next to him.

The camera reportedly caught a simple but quite meaningful reaction from Pitt’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, as soon as he delivered those lines.

There had been previous reports alleging that the former couple are rekindling their romance. That rumor started when Pitt attended Aniston’s 50th birthday party. This allegation was, in fact, debunked a couple of times by some news outlets. Even Pitt had addressed this and other dating rumors slamming the same. Despite these, the “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” actor clarified, one more time, how he currently views Aniston.

Apparently, Pitt sees the “Friends” alum as a good friend. He even told Kevin Frazier that if he runs into Aniston at the Golden Globes awards night, that would be the second most important reunion of her year, Radar Online reported.

While it’s true that everyone had been hoping for the former couple to run-in to each other, so they could snap some shots, Pitt was also aware how things will go down from there. During the event’s red carpet interview, Pitt reportedly said that when someone stands right next to him it will usually be reported as —well, everybody knew what he meant by that.

Despite the challenges Pitt faced in 2019 and the years that came before that, he stood strong and continued living. He may have fallen a few times, but he stood back up, took the lessons with him and continued living.

Receiving a Best Supporting Actor award is a good way to start the year. Kudos, Brad!
