A Reddit user was aghast at the selfishness of their sister who invited their scarred cousin to be the bridesmaid in order to look prettier in comparison. The user exposed the true character of their sister through a Reddit story anonymously.

The cousin had suffered scars on her face from a childhood accident and the bride-to-be wanted everyone else in the party to look "pretty" at her expense. The user, named BritishChewbacca, said that their sister was apparently monitoring their real account.

"My sister is not a very nice person. She's very entitled and spoiled, and is honestly just kind of a f--- bully," the person wrote. "She was known for it at school and it definitely hasn't stopped in her adult life. She's also getting married soon, oh joy."

The user and their sister were at their mother's house, discussing the forthcoming bridal party. The sister proposed having six bridesmaids, including their cousin.

"She's a really awesome person and everything, but I didn't think she and my sister were close," the user wrote, referring to their cousin.

According to the user, the two women had not spoken in a year or two, and the decision to invite the cousin confused their mother as well as the writer.

"Seeing mum and I were confused, sister laughed a bit and said 'imagine how pretty we'll look in pictures with her!'" the user wrote.

The writer explained that their cousin was very self-conscious about her scar since the accident but has learned to become more comfortable lately. But their cousin still has bad moments when picked on.

"Case in point, some rude man in a pub made a comment to her about it a few months ago and she got really upset and went into a depression for a couple of weeks," the user narrated.

The user concluded the post seeking advice from fellow Reddit users on whether to warn their cousin at the risk of causing a family feud.
