Britney Spears threw some serious shade at her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, who recently announced her upcoming memoir in a long post.

On Monday, Jamie revealed the news of her upcoming memoir on Instagram.

“I can’t believe I finally finished writing my book!!! “THINGS I SHOULD HAVE SAID” has been in the works for quite a longggg time now,” Jamie captioned the post.

In the long caption, Jamie threw some light on her struggles with coming to terms with her mental health issues. “Back In 2017, after Maddie’s life-changing accident, I felt a strong conviction to share my story, but there was a lot of personal work and healing that had to happen before I could share my truth the proper way.”

The caption continued, “I’ve spent my whole life believing that I had to pretend to be perfect, even when I wasn’t, so for the first time I am opening up about my own mental health, because this process challenged me to have to be painfully honest with myself, and face a lot of hard things, that I normally would have just glossed right over.”

Though Jamie Lynn's announcement did not mention Britney even once, her publisher, Worthy Publishing, wrote in the description that "Things I Should Have Said" will shed light on Jamie's "role as Britney's kid sister," according to a report by EOnline.

Soon after Jamie’s announcement post went viral, Britney teased her own writing venture Tuesday through an Instagram post ladled with sarcasm.

“Psssssss also great news … I’m thinking of releasing a book _ next year _ but I’m having issues coming up with a title so maybe my fans could help !!!! Option #1 … “Shit, I really don’t know” Option #2 … “I really care what people think” ____ ‍ ♀ ️ !!!!” What do you guys think ___ ????” the caption read.

Many fans of the “Criminal” singer assumed that this was Britney’s attempt at dissing her sister’s announcement, as some started commenting their thoughts, with one person writing “Jamie Lynn is shaking.”

Another, responding to a title suggestion, commented, “The things my sister shouldn’t have said.”
