BTS member Jungkook has made TikTok history after breaking the record for most hashtag views on the app — despite not having his own account.

Jungkook, 22, has garnered 15.6 billion views on TikTok through the use of his hashtag. The K-pop singer beat Indian film star Salman Khan, who has amassed 15.5 billion views, with this feat, Entertainment Tonight noted.

In June, videos of the South Korean singer had already gained 10 billion views. Less than two months later, BTS’ dedicated fan base, Army, watched his clips an additional 5 billion times.

In addition to his popularity on TikTok, Jungkook recently became the first idol to have more than 200 fancams with over 1 million views.

But while Jungkook has no personal account, BTS has a group TikTok page with a whopping 18 million followers.

Meanwhile, BTS is currently enjoying the success of the boy band's hit single “Dynamite,” which was released on Aug. 21. The K-pop group's first English single got a whopping 101 million views in its first day on YouTube and has already shattered the record for the fastest music video to reach 200 million views on the platform.

“Dynamite” also topped rankings on various music charts, including Spotify and iTunes.

The group, which consists of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, recently opened up about “Dynamite” and said they hoped to bring “happiness and confidence” to their fans all around the world amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Dynamite sends a message of happiness and confidence. It says, even though we're going through tough times, let's do what we can in our places, let's find freedom and happiness through dance and music,” Suga said during an online global press conference. “I would say it's a song dedicated to all the people who felt like they have fallen down whilst running a marathon.”

Speaking about how “Dynamite” came about, BTS leader RM said the release of the song originally wasn’t in their plans, but something clicked as soon as they heard it.

“As soon as we heard it, we thought it was really fun and exciting, a fun and cheery song that wasn’t that serious. It just made us feel good when we heard it,” he explained. “We really wanted to share this energy with the fans as soon as possible.”

The group’s next album is set to drop later this year.

BTS will perform "Dynamite" for the first time at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which will air live from New York City on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m. EDT. This will also mark BTS' first-ever VMA performance.
