Charlie Puth released a teaser of his collaboration with BTS’ Jungkook Friday, ending months of speculation from fans suspecting a brewing team up between the two artists.

The 30-year-old singer uploaded a 40-second teaser video on his TikTok page where he and the “Black Swan” artist sang a snippet of the single, “Left and Right” which will be featured on his upcoming album “Charlie.”

In the video, the “Light Switch” singer rings Jungkook and asked, “Hey man, what does it sound like when you sing, ‘Memories follow me left and right?’”

Jungkook replied, “Sure. That’s easy” before obliging to sing the line. Puth again asked the “Butter” singer to sing a few lines of the song on the left and right side of the microphone to which the youngest member of the boy band again obliged and sang, “Memories follow me left and right. I can feel it over here. I can feel it over here.”

Puth captioned his TikTok upload, “If we get 500,000 pre-saves, I’ll drop it on June 24.”

A fan shared Puth's upload on Twitter and wrote, "Charlie Puth has announced collaboration “Left and Right” with @BTS_twt Jungkook."

The two artists first collaborated in 2018 during the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards in South Korea in 2018.

Before that, Jungkook uploaded a cover of Puth’s “We Don’t’ Talk Anymore” with bandmate Jimin in 2017. The cover, featured on the group’s official YouTube page BangtanTV, is already at 34 million views.

On Twitter, BTS fans, known as ARMY, shared mixed reactions on the collaboration.

A fan wrote, “Omg Jungkook sounds incredible!!! He has just the most beautiful voice, Heaven!!!"

Another fan maintained their dislike for Puth. “We will be streaming, buying and promoting this song only because of one and only Jungkook,” the supporter wrote.

On Tuesday, BTS members dropped the news about pursuing more solo activities as they move ahead to a “new chapter” in their careers.

While many feared there is an impending disbandment, entertainment agency HYBE clarified the boy band will juggle team activities alongside solo endeavors.

Jungkook said he will use this time to collaborate with artists while also releasing a solo album, Seventeen reported.
