Moto X 2015 Specifications, Release Date

Motorola is reportedly trying to empty its stock of the second-generation Moto X before the rumored third-generation version is launched. Motorola could be unveiling two variants of the Moto X 2015. One of the handsets reportedly will feature a killer 5.7-inch display, while the other will settle for a pocket-friendly 5.2-inch screen. The device will come with a QHD display resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels.

Initial reports stated that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC. However, it looks like Snapdragon 810 will be utilized. Phone Arena says Verizon could be the only carrier to offer the 5.7-inch Moto X 2015 model.

The Moto X 2015 will apparently sport a 16 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing shooter. On the software end, the smartphone will run on Android 5.1.1. The handset will house a solid 3,280 mAh battery. Motorola president Rick Osterloh has apparently confirmed that the Moto X 2015 will be released in August or September. This means many deals and price cuts can be expected out of the current-generation Moto X model. Motorola has not confirmed the Moto X 2015 specifications thus far.
