Cameron Diaz was thrilled to semi-retire from showbiz after marrying Benji Madden.

The "Charlie's Angels" star "was already set on" stepping away from the limelight after tying the knot, and her husband made the transition easier for her. The Good Charlotte lead guitarist "had her back" and "agreed" with her decision. Diaz is currently loving her new life away from the spotlight.

"He definitely supported and helped her with the prices," an unnamed source told Us Weekly.

Diaz's last movie was "Annie," released in 2014. Although she hasn't been active in her acting career, even describing herself as semi-retired, the "Holiday" actress has continued to "stay really busy," according to the insider. She and her husband have their hands full with their daughter, Raddix, whom they welcomed in 2019.

"It's been a really fun journey doing something she loves and building up her brand," the tipster continued. "Plus, she and Benji make time for date nights and trips away as often as they can."

The "Sweetest Thing" star was "so happy and grateful," soaking up her downtime at home since she enjoys cooking, gardening, decorating and doing household chores. "[She] tries not to rely on nannies all that much. … There's not a day that goes by that she doesn't thank her lucky stars for being in this position," the insider added.

Diaz has openly talked about her relationship with Madden. In a recent interview on Michelle Visage's "Rule Breakers" podcast, she gushed over her husband for helping her value herself more.

"He's really taught me to value myself a lot more," Diaz said.

The "Bad Teacher" star admitted she didn't hope to be validated by previous partners because she was "receiving so much validation elsewhere and in all these other ways" back then. However, when it came to her marriage, the celebrity said she goes "all in."

"Nothing else comes before this. It's not hard to do because it's the most valuable thing I have," Diaz explained. "We know that, no matter what, we can just go and be just a family anywhere, and we're fine. We don't need any of the things that we have, other than each other."

In the same interview, Diaz shared that she had already turned her back on society's beauty standards. She no longer washes her face daily, and she compared herself to a "wild animal," saying the last thing she thinks daily is her looks.
