Camila Cabello has opened up to Selena Gomez about her mental health. For the May cover story of "Wondermind," the "Havana" singer talked about her anxiety and why she's now more comfortable discussing it with other people.

"In the moment, everything feels dizzying and overwhelming and like you're on this ride thinking, 'Just help me get off.' In my mind, it's a loop, like obsessive-compulsive stuff," she said, as per People. "In my body, it's a tightness, almost like I can't move, like my hands are tied and everything is just tied up."

Cabelo also revealed she used to be anxious to talk about her condition because she was "scared to be found out," thinking her brain was "broken" and "not normal."

She told Gomez her hesitancy was brought by the stigma surrounding therapy and medication, especially in the older generations.

"The stigma around saying that you need help is something that frustrates me because sometimes people can be like, 'No, I don't need that, I just need free time,' or whatever. Obviously that's valid, but just because you're in therapy doesn't mean something is more wrong with you than other people," she explained, adding that having mental health issues doesn't mean being "crazy" or "ill."

Cabello went on to talk about the best mental health advice she has ever received. "Faking or pretending is the worst thing for my mental health, personally. Saying the truth and being vulnerable and talking about it is basically what my therapist says to me in every session," she said.

Cabello previously told Kay Adams of "People (The TV Show!)" that she was in her "worst mental health state ever" when she was in the process of making her album "Familia." She admitted she was "cripplingly anxious" while she worked on the album, so she decided to take a breather.

"I took a break at the beginning of the pandemic. I started doing therapy and trying to feel better," she said.

Gomez and Cabello posted a video of themselves hanging out together last month. In the TikTok video, the singers could be seen lip-synching to a scene from "Dance Moms" with drinks in their hands.
