Camilla Parker Bowles is already preparing to take over the role of queen in the coming years.

On Tuesday, she sat front row at the London Fashion Show on Queen Elizabeth II’s behalf. The Duchess of Cornwall was also there to honor designer Bethany Williams with the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Last year, Her Majesty was still able to attend the London Fashion Week, where she honored designer Richard Quinn with the same award as its first-ever recipient.

For this week’s engagement, Camilla wore a navy-blue long-sleeved dress with a white tiered skirt by British couturier Bruce Oldfield. She paired her stunning dress with her beautiful pearl necklace, black heels and a black clutch bag.

Last year, Buckingham Palace released a statement regarding the new Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.

“The Queen Elizabeth II Award, initiated in recognition of the role the fashion industry plays in society and diplomacy, will be awarded annually to an emerging British fashion designer who shows exceptional talent and originality. The designer will also demonstrate the value to the community and/or strong sustainable policies,” the statement read.

In related news, Camilla’s recent outing once heightened speculations that she is already gearing up to become Queen. The same speculation surrounded Prince Charles when he took over some of Her Majesty’s role as the head of the monarchy since she is already 92 years old.

Even though an official announcement from Buckingham Palace has not yet been named, some experts are convinced that Camilla will officially be known as the Queen or Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes King.

Alastair Bruce, a former equerry to Prince Edward and the godfather of the Earl of Wessex’s son, told Daily Star that Camilla’s official title will be Queen simply because of the English law.

“We all know in Common Law at the moment Camilla is Princess of Wales… she is, she’s just not called that. So, if she is married to the King when he becomes King, she will be Queen,” he said.
