Cardi B recently faced backlash for throwing a birthday party at a packed nightclub amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The American rapper was spotted celebrating her husband Offset’s birthday in Atlanta, Georgia.

The videos from the birthday bash were posted on the couple’s Instagram Stories. The clips showed the pair partying with friends at a nightclub, which seemed to be defying all social distancing norms, according to ET Online. In addition, the guests, who seemed to be partying throughout the night till early morning hours, were not wearing masks.

The “WAP” singer’s posts prompted criticism from her fans. Some of them took to Twitter to express their anger over her reckless behavior.

“Wondering what world @iamcardib lives in that she’s posting Instagram stories of a packed nightclub birthday party as if covid doesn’t exist,” said one Twitter user.

“stop throwing parties in a pandemic,” wrote a different user.

“@iamcardib will be the next to get #coronavirus . Stop apologizing that your hosting parties. JUST STOP HOSTING THEM or STOP FAKE APOLOGIZING,” another netizen wrote.

“quit throwing parties in the middle of a pandemic challenge failed,” said another one.

“WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT OFFSET THROWING A HUGE ASS PARTY DURING A PANDEMIC TWO MONTHS AFTER CARDI DID THE SAME SHIT ThEse people never learn jesus christ. Its because there are no repercussions for them. One apology tweet and all is back to normal,” commented another.

Meanwhile, Cardi B and Offset are yet to address the controversy.

Later, after the party, the songstress surprised her husband with an uber-luxurious car — a limited 2021 edition of Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. The “Father of 4” singer posted a video on his Instagram where Cardi blindfolds him and leads him to the place outdoors where his brand-new car gold Lamborghini is waiting.

The surprise came after the mother-of-one posted a special message for her husband on Instagram.

"I wish you more positivity, wisdom, health and for God to continue to keep you with a good heart," she said in her birthday message. "Thank you soo much for helping me these past months getting my business in line (somebody gotta be the mean 1 _ ) I ❤ ️ u . Let's turn it up tonight!!"

The massive celebrations come after a tumultuous time in the couple’s marriage. In September, Cardi B and Offset filed for a divorce, which was called off by the songstress in November.
