Carmelo Anthony sent his love to his estranged wife La La Anthony and his son Kiyan on social media, E! News reported Tuesday. The New York Knicks player’s move came after reports about separation with La La last month.

Over the weekend, La La attended VH1’s second annual “Dear Mama: An Event To Honor Moms” with 10-year-old Kiyan. She posted a picture of herself and her son at the event on Instagram captioning: “He's [Kiyan] the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.”

Carmelo commented on La La’s post saying “Love yall,” according to E! News. This is apparently the first time the 32-year-old publicly spoken about his estranged wife since the two were reported to have split last month. The two have not publicly announced their split, but several reports said La La and Carmelo are not planning to get back together. It also remains unclear whether they will divorce.

In April, Carmelo and La La — whose birth name is Alani Vazquez — were spotted on separate occasions without their wedding rings fuelling speculations the two parted their ways. The 37-year-old television host also moved out of their house and was reportedly staying alone in New York.

During the weekend event, La La broke silence following the split rumors. She co-hosted the VH1 event Anthony Anderson and talked about how she stayed managed to stay strong after the breakup from Carmelo after being married for nearly seven years.

“My family. My family is my strength,” La La said at the event. “My family and God is my strength. That’s where I’ve always found my strength my entire life, so now would be no different.”

She also praised her mother for being supportive.

“My mom just always taught me to let people live, let people be who they are without restrictions, without limitations,” La La said. “I think that’s why I was able to go so far in my life and career — because my mom always supported me, even when I had the craziest ideas ever. So I definitely would do the same with him, and just support him in whatever he wants to do.”

Last month, sources told Entertainment Tonight last month that the pair’s split was amicable and "a long time coming" and they have "much respect for one another."

After the separation, reports about Carmelo’s infidelity cropped up. TMZ reported that he cheated on La La with a dancer, who the basketball player got pregnant. The woman reportedly worked at a gentleman’s club in New York and was about seven months pregnant with his child.

But Entertainment Tonight dismissed the cheating rumors calling them false.

"Carmelo has told La La and those close to him that these rumors about him impregnating a dancer are not true," a source told the website in April.

On May 1, La La attended Met Gala wearing an all-black ensemble and took to Instagram to post her photo in the dress. She captioned the picture: “Unbreakable.” The post led to several users assume that she dissed her estranged husband.
