A disturbing footage surfaced online showing a missing cat being beaten with a baseball bat. The video was shared by the devastated cat owner who had been looking for her pet since July 11 after it went missing from Burnham, in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom.

The video, shared on Snapchat, opens with a close-up of a poster which had been put up asking for help locating the lost cat, named Kiki. It then shows a group of young men brutally beating the cat.

A youth can be heard saying: "You killed it, yeah?" in the video. The attackers allegedly kicked the helpless animal.

"We've been looking for her and we saw this video on Saturday," Kiki's owner, named Anna, told Mirror Online.

"She's scared of people who she doesn't know, she wouldn't just come up to them," the 45-year-old said describing the cat, "We just don't know where she is, we're still looking for our Kiki."

"We don't know if it's Kiki in the video, but the cat doesn't deserve to be kicked, and they're making fun of it... People may not like animals but you shouldn't do that to them. Next time it might be a person they kill."

The cat's owner said she contacted police and informed them about the video hoping to get justice for her pet who was brutally beaten.

Alice Harman, who shared the video on Facebook, wrote: "Although that might not be Kiki in the video, and they still have the mentality to go around and attack animals anyway, and this is still somebody's poor cat."
