It’s all green lights for Chapter 2, Season 4 of “Fortnite” and with it comes a bunch of heroes from the Marvel Universe as they set to face of Galactus in Nexus War.

Thor and Galactus was teased earlier this month when Twitter user @HYPEX posted on social media about the god of thunder and the Devourer of Worlds making a crossover to the Battle Royale island of “Fortnite.” An in-game comic book then discovered and unfolded “day-by-day” the story for their arrival.

To make the long story short, Thor is now the King of Asgard and the new Herald of Galactus. They went to search the galaxies for five planets that, when devoured by Galactus, will help stop a certain “Black Winter.”

The search led Thor to follow Galactus through a rift which transported him to “Fortnite.” He was greeted by some of the game’s popular characters and warned them of Galactus’ intent to devour their world.

But it’s not just Thor and Galactus that are coming to “Fortnite.” A new trailer for the Nexus War Battle Pass revealed that Iron Man, Wolverine, Storm, She-Hulk, Groot, Mystique and Doctor Doom will make a stand against Galactus.

Each character will have a unique quest which will enable players to unlock a built-in Emote. In addition, the Nexus Battle Pass will feature 100 unlockable rewards, Marvel-related items and super powers. IGN said the powers can be used in battles, while new weapons such as the Start Industries Energy Rifle will also be revealed.

Alongside the Marvel heroes, locations will also be added. A Helicarrier, which was a main feature in the trailer, appears to be the new “Battle Pass hub,” the outlet added.

The new Nexus Pass trailer was introduced at the same time “Fortnite” began its routine maintenance leading to the first patch of the season. Lady Sif may also be included in the list of comic-book inspired skins considering that she was the one who used the Bifrost to “summon help” for Thor after Galactus rocked the “Fortnite” island, said Forbes.

Thor and the gang will follow Captain America, Deadpool and Aquaman as some of the heroes who have graced the Battle Royale game. Chapter 2, Season 4 will officially begin when the game finishes its patch downtime, according to Polygon.
