  • Thousands of children's clothing items were recalled by three companies
  • The products violated federal flammability standards
  • Consumers should stop using the items and contact the companies for a refund

Thousands of children's clothes sold on Amazon have been recalled because they pose risks for burn injuries. Consumers can return the affected items for a full refund.

SIORO, Auranso and Booph on Wednesday recalled children's clothing items sold exclusively on Amazon. The recalled items do not meet the "federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear," thereby posing a burn risk, according to the recall alerts posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's (CPSC) website.

Products affected by the recall

The SIORO recall involves about 950 units of the brand's "100% children's cotton robes" sold in small, medium and large sizes in eight colors. They were sold on Amazon from December 2020 to April.

Booph recalled its "100% cotton nightgowns" that came in white, blue, purple and two shades of pink with fruit prints. They were sold on Amazon from March to June 2021.

"They were sold in sizes 2-3T, 3-4T, 5 Years, 6-7 Years, 7-8 Years, and 9-10 Years," the recall alert noted. About 4,900 units of the product were affected.

The recall also affects about 8,000 units of short- or long-sleeved "Auranso Official children's nightgowns." The items came in several sizes and were sold on Amazon from January to June 2021. They came in white and pink and had either white heart, pink heart or striped strawberry prints on them.

Consumers can get a refund

The companies have not received any reports of injuries related to the recalled products. However, they have urged consumers to stop using the garments and contact them for a full refund with free shipping.

"Even though your product appears to be safe, it is a violation of the mandatory safety standards for children's sleepwear. Products determined violative cannot be sold, worn, or distributed," SIORO said on its website. "As such, all customers should immediately stop using the robe and contact us for more information regarding the recall."

Photos of the affected products are available on the websites. Those with questions about the recall can contact SIORO at cs@sioro.com, Booph at caobooph_us@outlook.com or Auranso at Auranso_us@outlook.com.
