Chris Brown wants to set the record straight on rumors he slammed ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran in a new song from his upcoming album, "Royalty.” Just a few days after reports surfaced that Tran had a new boyfriend, Brown's song "Kae" popped up online and sparked rumors that the pop star was dissing the model.

In the song, Brown talks about a girl lying and not being there for him like she said she would. Early Thursday morning, the "Liquor" singer commented on the gossip, telling The Shade Room that it's not "a bashing song."

“People will make and use their own opinion," Brown said. "The song is saying that the relationship is no more. I’m expressing the time apart and the space that’s between two people who loved each other. The list of my mistakes are a mile long on my end. I’m expressing that I’m not familiar with who the other person is anymore at this point in my life. No bashing and definitely not hate."

Brown continued, "That would be the pot calling the kettle black! My love in general is eternal and unconditional. I’m expressing the man I am today the best way I know how, through art and music.”

Tran and Brown split in March after the singer fathered a baby girl with model Nia Guzman. As previously reported, Tran is believed to be dating 31-year-old Danish DJ Morten. The 21-year-old model and the hunky DJ were seen last week at the KURIOS Cabinet of Curiosities Cirque du Soleil show in Los Angeles before grabbing dinner at the celeb hot-spot The Nice Guy.

They also were seen early last month grabbing a bite to eat in Melrose. According to Entertainment Tonight, Tran and Morten have been seeing each other for "a few weeks."
