“It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” continues with the premiere of “A Christmas Break,” starring Cindy Sampson and Steve Byers.

The new film, one of the last new premieres of the 2020 event, will reunite Sampson and Byers, who previously worked together on an episode of “Private Eyes.” However, they are both also known for other projects as well, with Sampson starring in ION Television’s “A Christmas Crush” and Hallmark Channel’s “My Secret Valentine” in the past. As for Byers, he has also been seen in the Canadian TV series “Workin’ Moms,” as well as the films “Amish Abduction” and “The Christmas Cure.” He has also been in the Lifetime films “The Baby-Sitter's Revenge,” also known as “Glass Houses,” and “Too Close For Christmas.”

So what will happen when these two team up again, this time for a film? According to a synopsis, old crushes die hard, but sometimes, the help needed for a Christmas miracle comes from the most unexpected places.

“School teacher Addison Tate (Sampson) wants this Christmas to be special for her kids, especially since the School Board has decided that it will be the last, as the school will be closing,” the synopsis reads. “When Addison meets Danny (Byers), a Hollywood actor home to reconnect with his roots, on a Christmas tree lot, sparks fly, uniting the two to save the school from closing right before Christmas.”

Will they not only succeed at keeping the school open but also find an unexpected romantic connection?

“A Christmas Break” premieres Sunday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
