‘Christmas Unleashed’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

Is there anything better than puppies at Christmas? Well, Lifetime seeks to answer that question (sort of) with their newest holiday movie premiere, “Christmas Unleashed,” starring Vanessa Lachey and Christopher Russell.

Lachey should be no stranger to fans who may know her because of her marriage to Nick Lachey, but who has a very well-established career as an actress on her own. Not only did she recently star as Camille on “BH90210,” but she also starred in Lifetime’s 2018 movie “A Twist of Christmas” as well. As for Russell, holiday movie fans are definitely certain to recognize him, as the actor is a longtime holiday movie vet. Not only has he previously had a role in Lifetime’s “An En Vogue Christmas” and UPtv’s “A Puppy for Christmas,” but he’s a longtime Hallmark vet as well, taking roles in “Catch a Christmas Star,” “Merry Matrimony,” “A Dream of Christmas” and “The Mistletoe Secret.”

Now, when these two get together, plenty of Christmas magic will happen—especially thanks to the help of a certain dog.

“When Becca’s (Lachey) dog runs away on Christmas Eve, she must team up with her ex-boyfriend Max (Russell) to find him,” a synopsis reads.

However, the pup’s disappearing act may have a very specific purpose, because as the two work together to find him, they may learn a thing or two about each other that brings them back to the person they each once left behind.

“As the pup leads the exes on an all-day-and-night search through their North Carolina hometown, they revisit people, places and things that remind them of the Christmas pasts they spent together,” the synopsis states.

Will a search for a dog lead them back into one another’s arms just in time for Christmas? Or will their search wind up not only being unsuccessful, but heartbreaking as well?

“Christmas Unleashed” airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
