It’s been over 20 years since Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain took his own life, but his wife Courtney Love still thinks of him. The Hole singer took to Instagram over the weekend to share an old photo of her family, as well as an emotional message about her late husband.

The photo features Cobain sitting next to Love and holding their infant daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Click HERE to see the image on Love’s Instagram account.

“Makes me feel so sad,” Love captioned the picture. “Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking ..!?!? God I miss you, we all miss you #family #memories #turnbacktime #lovehim.”

The post comes a couple of days after Frances Bean’s birthday, which was on Aug. 18. The visual artist turned 23 years old. Her father committed suicide on April 5, 1994, just a couple of months before his daughter’s second birthday.

Earlier this year Frances Bean helped to keep her father’s memory alive through the documentary “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck.” Frances Bean served as an executive producer on the Bret Morgen directed movie, which featured never before seen videos and pictures of the late “Nirvana” singer.

Kurt Cobain made headlines last month after Richard Lee, a man who runs a public access show in Seattle, filed a lawsuit against the city and the Seattle Police Department. Lee wants sealed photos from Cobain’s death crime scene to be released to the public. He believes that Cobain didn’t commit suicide, but was actually murdered. Courtney Love and Frances Bean Cobain both petitioned for the court to drop the lawsuit, stating that the release of the images would cause them “indescribable pain.”
